One of these classes will feature the new XFE 7 so when the schedule is public please feel welcome to attend the class.
Normally I'm at Mobile Tech for Thursday, Friday and Saturday but this year I'm leaving after the Thursday classes for a flight out to California as we're filming a car for Competition Ready for the AMBER awards.
Bob Eichelberg and Cris Metcalf from Flex will be at Mobil Tech to answer questions and we should have at least one demo unit at the Autogeek booth for you to test out.

This will be a great tool for buffing out larger panels both flat and curved. It worked perfect with the Nanoskin Autoscrub pads as well as the foam cutting, polishing and waxing pads.
For thin panels you'll still want and need a smaller pad and thus a tool that can use smaller pads.

The exact reason I was kinda hoping for a smaller 3401 that takes 3" pads, but hey, a dude can still hope. I suppose the PE8 fills that void fine, though. Still, the XCE is gonna find a home with me eventually.

Thanks for that info Mike. I've seen the Education Day on their site, will keep a look out for that schedule as I'm sure the seminars fill up quickly.

I just checked and the schedule for Mobile Tech 2016 has NOT been posted yet.
As soon as it's public I'll share it on the forum.

There is not enough hype around this product. Why people are more excited about revised Rupes DAs over this makes no sense to me.

Someone's gona do a side by side test on all the 15's on offer and whichever stalls the least will be the new hyped item for some time to come. The 3401 guys will just sit back and chuckle as their pads keep on rotating.

Most people see this as "Just another large throw machine."
once this and the XCE get into the hands of people they will see there is a difference and the XCE is a nice update to the 3401 line

I couldn't agree more!
This new machine from Flex isn't "evolutionary" (as Rupes has called the new MkII lineup), but more revolutionary.
Now there is another tool coming from Rupes that is revolutionary... the iBrid that is very small, (looks like a power ratchet) and runs 1" & 2" pads. It'll do rotary, 3mm & 12mm orbit on the fly. But the coolest part is that it's both battery AND cord powered.
Oh BOY first quarter of 2016 looks to be a time to spend on new tools.

Long live the 3401, three cheers to the king!
I'm with you though on the side-by-side/shootout.
That is EXACTLY what I'd (and I suspect several thousand others) would like see. (Short of having to pay a few hundred bucks to attend a class/boot camp etc. for the privilege.)
