Re: Review & How-To: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating
I polished with m205 and then reapplied to the area.

I am going to take Kevin's advice and just wait a couple days and see if they go away on their own

Good advice, I waited several weeks since I was busy before I finally got around to correcting.

So did the high spots ever go away in your case?

No, I had to polish them off and reapply. It wasn't too bad to of a process. They stared at me every time and bugged me. Keep in mind, most folks will never notice, but we will

Black car especially on the hood there undeniably noticeable. I just wonder how to keep them from coming back?

In my case the high spots didn't go away. With Gtechniq, they appeared as cloudy areas based on the angle of viewing. With 22PLE, I had an area that looked darker. With Mohs, the line down my hood was lighter. In no case did they go away. But, some of the hazing left behind by EXOv2 did go away. I suggest waiting a few days or past the cure period to see what is revealed after final leveling and curing. For Wolfgang, a light polish would be all that would be needed to get rid of those high spots. In my cases, the Gtechniq areas and the 22PLE area were so small (and on the center of the roof ... just out of arm's reach) that I let them be. For the Mohs, it was obvious, and I redid the hood with CarPro Essence and recoated.
I think the key is working in small sections with multiple lights viewed from multiple angles. Light application is also key...learned that the hard way! Also, don't spare your MF towels any work; go through a lot of them. What I didn't realize and learned the first time around was then when doing the initial wipe with the first microfiber, you can really spread small portions of the coating beyond where you applied it. I learned to do the initial buffing with one microfiber and then a much broader buff with another microfiber such that my final buff was often 2x the size of my initial application -- widespread buffing and viewing to make sure there are no islands of spread coating that are left as high spots.

Re: Review & How-To: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating
GREAT advice Kevin!
I was wondering if, in a couple days, if those spots don't level out, I could just rub something Blacklight on top of it and NOT reapply? I ask because I assume the high spots are excessive product and using something like BL would leave little protection behind but still have the original coat underneath it, thus not needing to reapply and possibly having the high spots come back due to extra coating being added, even if it's buffed out.
Thoughts? I appreciate all the input here👍

I'm not so sure that would work. I think the high spots are disorganized silica... Not like layered even coats. Additionally, we're talking about something <0.5 micron thick. I'm sure rubbing it would go down to the clear coat and you'd need to reapply.
Just my thought.

I am just going to live with it over the next couple days because the temperature is supposed to go up so we will see what happens. It's just kind of funny that the cool temperatures in the morning seem to be triggering this
