A trigger rather than a switch, someone was paying attention. A+ for that.

How does this machine compare to the Torq 10fx? I have one and absolutely love it!

Great review Mike. Seems like a great product. Will this new DA be incorporated in future boot camps? Is that Nick Rutter in the pic lol.

It's definitely a well designed tool for its category.

    Yes this is Nick,

    This is called,

    Framing up a shot

I had Nick stand and point to the location of the scratches from far enough away that you can easily identify the exact location on the car.

Then I added this shot to show the actual scratches....

The idea behind framing up a shot is so the reader knows exactly where the defects are located. Otherwise the close-up shot could be on a back fender or anywhere if you don't have a frame of reference to show the actual location.

The new DA looks good. I almost didn't see it in the photo because of all the Pinnacle product displayed behind it. That was more impressive than the new polisher to be honest!

Re: Meguiar's MT300 DA Polisher in ACTION!

if anyone would be so kind to post a video of this in action (with a good amount of pressure applied on speeds 5-6) once they receive it, i would appreciate it (as well as other forum members). i'm curious if this has the same or more torque than the GG6...

Once I get mine (I hope it's soon!) I'd be happy to shoot a video of it next to my GG6 for comparison

When I looked into it , it seems the common user experience from testers and customers who were able to demo the machine is that the pad is VERY hard, to the point of almost impossible to completely stop spinning when held flat against the surface. Another note is that the machine is very light weight and easy to move around. Im VERY happy that meguiars came out with this tool. A standard 8mm throw DA is very useful. There are areas on my cars that I go for the GG6 instead of the Rupes 15 or Duetto that I own. Especially areas like under the mirror or right up against the trim. I prefer a smaller orbit stroke for those areas. The first time I used a Rupes LHR 15 I polished underneath my side view mirror and smashed up against the bottom of it and completely removed the paint and gouged the painted plastic with the backing plate. So I quickly realized that you have to be careful and on point with the bigger throw machines in tight areas. Stuff like that never happened to me with the traditional DA's that I was used to. Just to be clear this was my own fault, not the machines. But i'm just using it as an example to make my case that the regular small stroke DA's are a bit easier to get on with and more foolproof.

anyway (sorry for the added opinion), here is the video:

take note of the video at the 55 second mark
