What kind of paint defect is this?
I have an '07 civic that has a paint defect on the hood only. The rest of the paint looks good but the hood has these small star shaped cracks. I didn't realize how bad it was until I used UC with lake country orange pad followed by 205 on a white pad. These little star shaped markings can be felt slightly if I run my fingernail across them.
I not sure if I could wet sand them out with 3000 grit or not. The UC with orange pad was not able to clear it up.

I would continue to call the defect in the above picture and link you shared crows feet or in the old days it was called lacquer checking, or lacquer cracking.
Both Lacquer Fracturing and Crows Feet are both a type of crack or fracture in the paint but have a very different appearance.
:)
