What do you mean by less maintenance?

I believe he means it takes less time and effort for him to care for the short haired mitt. I have a RG wool mitt that has the shorter hair and I preferred the long hair. The following mitt specifically - http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...wash-mitt.html
