First time polish/wax

My father, and I are trying to build a first time detailing package and need your help. This is for a light brown Toyota Tundra, and a Silver Honda Accord. This is what we have thus far.

1. Griots orbital
2. 5 inch plate, 5.5 inch pads (3 white, 3 blue)
Lake Country 5.5 Inch CCS Pads 6 Pack - Your Choice!
3. Blue Bonnet for buffing wax
Indigo 6 Inch Microfiber Bonnets 2 pack


What we need now is the rest of the package any recommendations?

go with 2 orange 2 white 2 black pads, i prefer flat pads, don't like the way products gets lost in the dimples, but that's just me

skip the bonnets, wipe off with micro fiber towels by hand

Look at the pre built packages AG has, they will sub 5.5" pads for the included 6.5" ones. Just select the package with the polishes that best suit your fancy.

What polish and wax do you all prefer I live in raleigh nc and majestic solutions makes their own products are they any good ?

Can't go wrong with a good compound and a good polish I'd go with either a Meg's combo of m105/205 or Menzerna FG400/SF4000 (Wolfgang is also the equivalent of this with uber compound/finishing glaze if I remember correctly). And honestly it would be much better if we knew what kind of shape the cars were in and what your goal is with the LSP (ie. longevity, depth, gloss, hydrophibicity don't think that is a word lol).

Two Vehicles excellent shape 2005 Honda Accord, and 2012 Tundra. I would prefer to polish/wax maintain once every six months.

If they really are in good condition you can try going with just a polish like 205,4000, or Sonax PF which may be the best choice. Every 6 months on LSP you are looking mostly at sealants with a few exception I personally had great luck with Sonax PNS, lots of other people love BF AFPP. The few wax exceptions from what I have read would be Collinite 845 and Pinnacle BL Synergy. If your going to reapply every 6 months I would get a paint cleaner so you don't have to abrade the clear coat with the polish every time you reapply.

What do you use to clean your washmit, drying towel, and microfiber?

Clean all your MF, including wash mitt in the washing machine. Hot water with MF detergent (microrestore, blackfire, etc.). You can add some oxyclean powder too for a little boost. Let the mitt air dry but throw all towels in the dryer on low heat and NO fabric softener. It's good to inspect your towels as you take them out of the dryer one-by-one also, to make sure there is no leftover debris stuck in the fibers (small pieces of leaves, small twigs, etc.).

Make sure you wash all MF once before you use them too!!

How about the buffing pads should I use microrestore for those too?
