    GG 6 Inch

    Can I use a 5.5 backing plate on a 6 inch GG?

No. it will void the warranty.

j/k. Yes, absolutely. There is nothing wrong and that is a typical pad size used with 6" polishers of all makes.

I've never used anything larger than a 5" backing plate on my GG DA.

I feel pretty stupid right about now
I meant to say 5" backing plate with 5.5" pads. Does it really void the warranty?

Becciasm got me good! I didn't scroll all the way down to the bottom of his post!
