    Yellow CCS cutting pad

i just got my order from autogeek with a few more pads. well the yellow cutting pads are differnt than whats described on the website page.

    heres what the website says.
Yellow Cutting Foams 6.5 inch- Use this pad to apply compounds or polishes to remove severe oxidation, swirls, and scratches. It is the most aggressive and should only be used on oxidized and older finishes. Always follow this pad with an orange or white pad and a fine polish to refine the paint until it is smooth.

and heres what it says on the ones i got

    yellow cutting pad

this yellow pad is designed for applying sealants and glazes. the soft absorbant foam with not scratch clear coated or single stage paint finishes. use this pad for final buffing and product removal.

so my basic question is are there 2 differnt yellow 6.5 inch CCS pads?

you are right...the yellow foam is much softer than the orange pad...but look at the pore size compared to the white blue or gray pad and that is what does all the cutting action...the orange pad ges its aggressiveness out of pressure and being a firm pad..the yellow does it with pore size

Funny.....It even says "Yellow Foam Cutting Pad" on the plastic, then says to use it to apply waxes and glazes right under it Definitely a mix up. "Cutting pad" and "Wax or Glaze" should never be used in the same sentence
