Griot's 6 inch DA with 3 inch pads?

Should you use a different counterweight if using a 3" BP on the 6" polisher?

I use mine with a 3 inch pad all the time. I just turn my speed down and it works fine.

I also have the Griot's 3" buffer - a little lacking in power but comes in handy on spots that are tough to get to with the more bulky 6". Just have to be patient with it.

I have small pads and a BP that fit onto my Makita Drill gun. They came with a kit just for that. They are fine but you have to be careful or they will burn that paint up. LOL
