It really doesn't help that I've got a silver car I can barely see the swirls (guess thats a good thing, but damm it's hard to work on) I'm gonna try to do my GF's GS300 which is a dark blue, I'm sure that will make the polish stand out more.

wow. that little bit? the product seems so clear when its spread out, its almost hard to see it.

That's how it's supposed to be. Two nickel sized amounts is *way* too much once the pad is primed.
