    That's what I did when I first startd, I had no clue what 2 x 2 looked like and I was literaly out in the garage with my measuring tape and tape. I know total GEEK!!! Hey but now I know what a 2 x 2 looks like.

    It helps you focus on that one spot a lot better. I also like using a timer set for 3-5 min.

    I cant tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but I was. He was asking about the paint thats under the tape, how would it get polished. Obviously you pick it up and polish it, then you could put it back down.

    err i meant 38" x 38" lol i was doing about a 3ft x 3ft area maybe thats why....

    im also noticing its kinda hard to see swirls on a silver car.... maybe ill go purchase those halogen lights and a timer tomorrow before i start.... any harm in using XMT 2 and orange pad on my windshield to remove the waterspots as well??

    any other tips?

    Definitely get one of those lights. XMT and orange pad on the windshield is fine. I use Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze on windows all the time.

    I'm with ya here, man. Would the halogen lights help see the product more clearly as it breaks down? At dusk, it just looks like the product becomes clear and makes it impossible to see, like Conor said. Especially after 30-60 seconds of working it at speed 5 or 6!
