    Re: UDM replacement brushes?

Richy I wouldn't pay either. Just take one of the brushes with you and match it up. You gotta take it apart anyway.

Richy I bailed you out on the brushes. Call Bosch at 1-800-346-4103. You can order a set for $11.00. That was based on the number you listed. They are also used in their angle grinders. You also have a service center in Farmington Hills MI. but they don't have them in stock.

I guess I missed this point initially...Richy, where did you get the Bosch P/N for the brushes? From the UDM manual?

Guys, thank you very much. I got that Bosch # from an earlier post in a different thread:

Meguairs G220 (220v) - Changing the Carbon Brushes

It's on the Megs post that I got the Bosch #.

I will call Bosch and order them directly. Thanks again, I really appreciate your assistance!

I might be all wet on this, but mightn't the brushes be different from 110V to 220V?

Doubt it. The basic machine is the same the armature may have different windings though.

Yeah, maybe you're right, it's the same wattage as I pointed out in an earlier post...still higher voltage though through the commutator...

It's half the amps. I dunno, I just thought I would complicate Richy's life by asking the question. I think I've been hanging around Flash too much.

    Re: UDM replacement brushes?

I'm not really sure how it all works out in europe as far as their electricity goes. I know when I was there visiting a friend he had me bring a power strip from here and we put on a male conector from over there and we were able to use all of our electrical stuff we brought.
