Those who have the most RECENT G110v2, question for ya...

I just received mine(haven't used it yet). I was messing with the speed dial and noticed that I don't have full range use of the speed dial. I turned it up to about 5 3/4 and the speed dial stops. In other words, I can get the number 6 to set in the middle of the rectangular box of the speed dial. This may not seem like a big deal to some, but it is to me. I didn't have this issue with my first G110v2, so I'm just wondering. Can you all check to see if you have the issue? Thanks.

Maybe the dial is not calibrated? Does it go below 1? I just checked mine and it's fine.

Mark, you ever see the movie Spinal Tap where the guy says his amp goes to 11 and not 10? Your question reminded me of that. I can't attach the YouTube clip for it from my phone, or else I'd have done that.

I can go move the dial slightly below 1, can you?

    Never seen it.
No,,stops exactly on one. Your dial is slightly out of calibration. Should not be a problem. Now since it's a new unit the best thing to do is go as slow as possible and let it spin few minutes for brushes to seat properly. Be a lot less problems later. If brushes are not seated and worn it a bit when you go fast speed and apply pressure you might get some brush arc which is not desirable. Just my 2 cents worth.
what have you been using PC?

Very good info. That's how we used to break in motors when I raced RC cars. Too much arcing burns the comutator and decreases performance. Most brushed are just flat on the end and need to be broken in to the profile of the com.

    Thanks, Mark.

This one is going back to Meguiar's for a replacement. I want one that's made correctly, right outta the box.

Good for you! I would probably live with it and always feel annoyed. LOL!
