    Deal or no deal?

    Found this on amazon,
    Amazon.com: Porter-Cable 7424XP 6-Inch Variable-Speed Polisher: Home Improvement

Right now if you spend over 100 on PC tools, you get $20 off and free shipping. Ive been looking for a deal like this, in all it would come to around $106

I'm a noob and have been looking for a good DA polisher to start, would this be a good deal for me?

No. Service and support from AG are bar none. Try that from amazon.

Besides, there are guaranteed to be Christmas sales!

    Re: Deal or no deal?

I bought a PC from AGO and had some trouble with it. I then ordered a Griot's 6" from AGO and did a side by side compaison. I am by no means an expert, but you can read my views here:
    http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...griots-pc.html
The PC was noisier and would not as easily keep a pad rotating. The Griot's will really keep the pad moving. In addition, I like the ergonomics of the Griot's better.

I did return the PC to the local distributor in Dallas and they agreed to refund my money, The PC literature says you can return it no questions asked in the first 90 days. They did ask me a few questions, but did not give me a hard tome about it.

Griots is worth the extra money. Just do a few more detail jobs and stash some money away for the Griots.

How does the Griots feel on your wrists as far as the vibration goes. Ive used polishers that end up giving me an itchy feeling after using it for 5 minutes.
