Meg DA using LC 5' plate + MF DA cutting and finishing pad 5"

Hi Folks

Is there a different in Meg MF DA 5" back plate and LC 5" backing plate.

sound a little silly but use want to make sure the LC 5" goes will with the Meg MF pads and work efficently with the MF DA system compound and finish wax.

Meg 5" DA back plate has a special small loop while LC has standard. You could possibly create extra unwanted heat using wrong back plate.

I agree with Mark....stick with what the manufacturer suggests for the backing plate. Its designed specifially for the system. Search the forum on excessive heat and pads and see what you find.

2 totally different BPs......using the megs mf system its recomended that you use thier bp.
