just ordered 7424xp
Ordered the 7424xp kit that has both backing plate. Added extra 4" and 6.5" pads. I had a detaining company in the past and this machine buffing is all new to me. I have learned so much from this forum. My 97 Torch Red Vett is going to get a full correction. It shines very good now but I know it will get even better now. I will also do the wifes Liberty. This way I can show her that the money sent is well worth it.
Big thanks out to Nick at AG for all the help with my order and recommondations.
Any extra tips from all you pros would be great.
Tom

A great choice...enjoy, be patient.
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

Re: just ordered 7424xp
I just finished buffing my car for the first time with the pc i recieved a few weeks ago. It is a great beginners machine, very easy to handle.
I would recommend ear plugs or ear buds to help with the noise, after 6 hours i got a bit of ringing.

Umm, are you sure you got the 6.5" pads? Reason I'm asking is that it is rather well known on the forums that the PC XP doesn't do well with 6.5" pads. You would be well served to call and have them replaced with 5.5" pads. I have one 6.5" pad that I got free with some sealant. It's BARELY acceptable for spreading sealnats and waxes. I sure wouldn't want to try to polish with it.

+1
5.5 inch pads will be a huge difference, get them now so you don't regret it later.

Congrats on the new machine!
Ditto on the 5.5 pads

Congratulations. You've got a great tool, but as the others have said, you'll get better performance from the 5.5" pads.

Re: just ordered 7424xp
in your original post you said you'd be buying a Flex DA which would spin pads of any size effortlessly. I
think you need to call about those 6.5 inch pads before they ship...
