Well, played around a bit. Did the hook with XMT 3 and green pad, then half way through switched to yellow pad. Also did part of the fender with severe water spots w/ the yellow pad. Also worked on some of the driver side door.

I definitely got some more learning to do. But hey, that's normal with a new machine. I had to work in the garage with not much light, so it was difficult to see how many swirls I was removing. Hopefully tomorrow the sun will be out and I'm going to work with it outside.

I went ahead and topped the hood with NB just so I can have some protection on it over night while it sits out side. Also just wanted to see how it went on and such. Definately only needed a little little bit and went on and off very easily for me. Topped it with AW then as well. Visually, sense the car is in the garage, I can't tell any difference with what's on now and what was on before (NXT). However, the slickness and smoothness is incredible. I'm sure it will look a lot better once it's out of the garage.

I also used AIO on an orange Edge pad on the windshield and rear window. Worked well and my windows are crystal clear.

Here's a quick pic. There are stll some scratches I need to remove.

Nice one that one, both the order and "Quik"detail.

How did you like the AW? have you used some different type of QS/QD before?

Nice order and good pictures. Question though why did you feel you had to use the yellow pad. I thought the yellow pad was way to abbrasive to use and with XMT 3?

You mentioned that you still have swirls to remove, is this after using the yellow pad and the XMT 3?

I like your order becuase that is what I ordered the entire XMT line up and supper size hahaha

Remember, you are supposed to go the least abrasive way and move up (stronger) from there, Nica. At least Scott told me so, and with that vette, I believe he knows!!
Plus different cars have different clear coats.....

Yep, Lauren is correct. Just because it's bad, don't jump to conclusion and try #3. Maybe a small spot with #1, and the work the area with #2. Two times with #2, is better than once with #3..

Yes, I totally agree with you gusy about going least abrasive and working on from there...but I'm going to keep this in mind "..Two times with #2, is better than once with #3..". I'll try that on my Volvo that I'm currently working on.

Nica, It would probably be safe to say THREE times with #2, should be less abrassive than one coat of #3. I have used the Meguiars Detailer line, specifically, and it works on the same principles.
