    Hi..What about the HD polisher? Anyone have the opm settings like those above?

    Have you tried asking them directly? They own the Autopia . org forum - there might be more people with experience using the HD polisher over there.

    While the OPM's at the various settings on the dial are good to know, at the end of the day regardless of whether you "know" what the OPM's are for the different settings are or not, you're always going to put a PC on the 4-6 setting to do paint correction work.

    It's important to maintain pad rotation when trying to remove defects, (trying to remove a little paint), in order to work effectively. Having a pad simply vibrate or jiggle has little effect on defect removal.

    In most cases, if you're using a foam pad you'll be on the 6 setting. You might bump it down a little if you're using a MF pad and the Meguiar's D300 per Meguiar's recommendations of running their pads/compound at 4800 OPM to avoid overheating the MF pads but the pad must rotate during operation. (So mark your backing plates)
