Backing plate hook/loop failure.
Have any of you had problems with the velcro on the backing plate failing?
Today I was using the Megs W68DA plate with 7" Soft Buff pads on a G110v2.
I have used these before with great success but this plate is on it's third car and halfway through I started loosing the pad. I thought the pad velcro was getting old so I put on a new pad and it practically just fell off the plate. There was very little 'stick' left. I replaced the plate with a new one and all was fine.
Any ideas? I think these backing plate should last longer than that. Maybe it heated up too much and melted the hooks, is that possible? But never had that problem before.

I think that happened with my Flex 3401 so I grafted a Lake Country velcro to it and it works better than ever.
