Meguiars #83, #84 or Pinnacle XMT Series?
Hi folks,
I´d like to buy a dual action polisher in germany (Rotex 125) and sure ´want to know sth. about the polishes. Hows the best?
The Meguiars #83, 84 are very good, but whats better?
Thanks for your answers.

Megs #83 works great, but has a lot of dust. Poorboys SSR 3 has the same cut, with less dust. Also look at Optimum line, less dust. XMT 3 has a little less cut then #83, but most of the time thats all I need to get the job done.

The Megs MG#84 is for a rotary polisher, the highest nr for DA polisher is the MG #83.
Found this list at meguiars.com
http://http://www.meguiarsonline.com...ead.php?t=2524
And for the Rotary

I didnt know, so i tryed the MG #85 Diamond Cut on the DA, I didnt destroy anything, but the result is bether with a Rotary
I have used the MG #82 swirl free, the MG #21 and the NXT gen tech wax, with pretty good results, but if you spend some time here at this forum, you probably end up buying the XMT #1, 2, 3 + Glaze or DuraGloss products anyway, i just bougth it myself, but i havent got it home yet, im dying to trying both of them.
I have read some (all) post in Show`n Shine, some goooood writeups and pics, which can help finding some good stuff.

The XMT line up or Optimum is my choices for a Meg's replacement. Alot less dust and they have no oils unlike Megs.
The Rotex is a nice tool. XMT is designed soley for a DA. You would not be dissappointed with them. The XMT Glaze is in a field of all its own.

My vote is for XMT. Almost no dust.

Hi folks, thanks alot for your comments. The problem is I dont earn money with my work, I´, detailing cars only in my sparetime without getting money (sometimes sweet kisses from my girlfriend after detailing her car ). So the XMT-Series are very expensive. Its only 12 oz. for 16 Euro and the #82 and #83 are one litre for 30 Euro. So I would like to be in USA to buy so many hot detailing items for a much more better price than in germany/europe.

I buy the stuff from AG, and they send it to me by mail (Norway) thats easy as 1-2-3. just that the shippingcosts are a little high, but anyway, I pay half of what the prices are i Norway (when freight is inc). the more you buy, the lower the freight costs is on each products
80% of the poducts at AG, cant be found in anny stores in Norway.
AG even sends you an mail with the shippingcosts included before you agree to buy (you just say No to this email if you feel the shipping cost is to high)
you have to + the German tax to the amount, i dont know if you can import from the US, Taxfree. In Norway its 25% on top
Nothing is like the AG day:
Some of the stuff from last time, next time im getting mOOOOOOOOre, just waiting for the mailman (duragloss, xmt, SHmitt, Pinnacle, megs, cobra)

@Truls, thats ok. But the german taxes, the shipping and so on makes the items very cheap. So I bought my detailing clothes always in UK (www.motorgeek.co.uk), so I dont have to pay taxes and so on and the shipping is like in german national.
I´m awaiting for better prices for the XMT, but in the winter I cant detail cars. Its too cold. Next March/April Í´d like to get my Rotex and the XMT and buffers. The Lake country buffers are available in germany.
