Re: "Jeweling paint" 3 step polish?
i'll simplify my question i hope.
Since the grey and softer blue and yet softer red pads have no cut...
If I jewel with a blue bad, will it matter to go back up to the grey one to seal?

You can apply with grey, blue or red.

The red and blue are the same pad, just different colors.

Re: "Jeweling paint" 3 step polish?
Ok, here I go bring a thread back from the dead again. I made an attempt at Jeweling my black paint this weekend. I only did the hood as it had some minor scratches. I started with M205 on a LC 4" Hydro-Tech tangerine pad. That removed the minor defects and had the car looking good. Next I switched to a LC 6.5" CCS blue pad and Menzerna PO85RD. I did one side of the hood and looked at it and could not see a difference. I assume I am doing something wrong, any ideas? I have a PC 7424 that I used for this and the speed was set to 5.
TIA

Re: "Jeweling paint" 3 step polish?
Anyone tried Optimum Finish Polish in jeweling? If I am not mistaken, it is the only fine finishing polish with non-diminishing abrasives. Doesn't it run against the breaking down of abrasives involved in jeweling?

Hey, i think youre looking more at using a rotary for this type of paint correction instead of a PC, especially when you get into the realm of jeweling the paint

Well then I am out of luck. I think I will give it one more try on the truck lid but this time I will switch down to a 4" blue pad.
