Great review. We currently have an older Griots rob (like it but no changeable backing plate), an original PC 7424 and a cheap Harbor Freight rotary. I would love to get a new mahine, but can't justify until one of the others craps out.

Re: Got a chance to play with the Griots DA for a while....

Received my Griot's about a month ago and to date thrilled with it. Only things I would change if I could would probably go with the longer cord rather than an extension cord and on the next redesign they should move the speed control to a more accesible place. It seems when I check the speed I lift the machine and do a little spraying.
Other than that it works as described, very easy to use with wonderful results.
Yesterday I spent 5 hours on my wife's SUV )color is platinum ice or a pearly white) which is only 6 months old. She and my neighbor were shocked how it came out certainly compared to how it came from the dealer.
Also was bored this week so I took the Griot's to my John Deere tractor. Looks so good and shiny I'm going to hate cutting with it but should ease cleanup with the wax job on it.
So since I have been really happy with this Griot's I now have the 3" griot's on the way and hope to do my own mini review.
