Thumbs up Re: Griot's Random Orbital Polisher

Forgive me for not going through all the pages here but in the OP, is that Dennis Gage's wifes Falcon that he's always talking about?

I love my Griots RO, I even bought the 3" one to go along with the 6" one, now I can do everything and get in everywhere w/o a problem This is first RO and I believe it will be my last, it does everything I need it to do, I'm sure there's others out there that can do a bit more but for what I use it for, its perfect! I like how its got the lifetime warrenty too and being a Griots customer since 2003, I've had nothing but AWESOME customer service from them as well, usually talking to the same 2 or 3 people when I call, that says something to me. Case in point, I used the system for the first time on g/f's Mazda 6, nice cranberry color and watched vid and had the polisher on 5-6 for polishing and ended up destroying 2 of the orange pads, too much heat was the problem they said and guess what, they sent me out 2 new pads right away. I was told to use 4.5 as the max speed unless you doing a single, stubborn area, great advice as expected from Griots.

I also got the bag that carries both the 3 and 6" wheels around too, again, quality product and that thing carries alot of stuff. I bought their smaller bad to carry my towels and extra pads too.

Great job Griots, customer for life here

If you click the above blue clickable link, it will take you to the FULL ARTICLE and in the full article I explain and show 5" backing plates and then in post #2 of the article include links to them.

I kind of thought that implied these backing plates will fit the Griot's, Meguiar's and Porter Cable polishers? I guess not"?

I just edited post #2, I added a few more words to make it perfectly clear that the 5" backing plates I show pictures of in my article "fit" the polishers I show in the article, which are also the polishers everyone talks about and uses to polish paint.

    Thanks,

That first link goes Lake Country 5" DA Backing Plate does not work, and I read to much into, the post it was clear for the PC when you clicked the lick to the backing pad, but not so much on the Griots

    Ding dang!

I rarely make a copy and paste mistake but it does happen and that's what happened when I created the link.

    It's fixed now.

Big picture is this, I wrote the article for anyone getting into one of the popular DA Polishers and to give them a reference guide to 5" backing plates and 5.5" pads so they can do this...
