Hey again mudman. Maybe he's just reiterating that it's really not that necessary (6" bp), and not that uncommon a combo. My guess at least?

He's using a 5" bp ... with all 6.5" pads.
Paintfilled and Wetsanded 29 rock-chips in one session, as a complete Noob ... and lived to tell about it!!

the 6.5" pads aren't useless, they can be used, it's just that the 5.5" pads provide better correction ability. I think thats what Rsurfer meant

Thanks for the clarification guys. Rsurfers comment had me kind of wondering if I just wasted all my money.
