    central pneumatic orbital

    Hello,
Anyone know if the Central Pneum. orbitals (such as the ones listed at HarborFreight.com) can be fitted with the velcro backer plate and used the same as a PC?
Has anyone used pneumatics for detailing? I'm wondering if the air exhaust/oil mix messes up progress!
    Thanks

    Re: central pneumatic orbital

In my opinion the down side to using air tools for polishing would be the cost of the air compressor running which costs much more that and electric polisher running . The air tool is usually lighter in weight , but dragging an air hose around offsets the weight for me . Also the exhaust from air tools can spray a fine mist of oil out and later cause a problem . Just my opinion though , I am sure others will have their versions . .

Also, if you don't have quite a large air compressor, you will have to stop ever minute or so to let the air compressor recharge. Polishing will exhaust the air supply pretty quickly.

That along with having to drag an air hose around just makes it a less appealing option.

    It is possible though.
What if the Hokey Pokey IS what it's all about???
