It would be nice to find one of them on sale for say 50 bucks off..
my rotary is so heavy to use over the whole side of a vehicle.

Highly unlikely unless you become biggest distributor (because price posted is lowest possible one straight from Flex' biggest distributor). MSRP is almost $500.
Of course, unless you find someone selling their's on eBay which is again highly unlikely because every impartial owner ended up in love with their's.

For the Flex users -
Could you guys give us more information like what brand pads
do you prefer and what sizes have you found work the best for you?
What's the learning curve coming from a PC/UDM user?
Paint burning possible?
I've read the posts on the other forum but thought it would be helpful to have more info here.
Zoran, is this why you have a Metabo for sale?

bp on flex is 6" and it is balanced for 6" pads so naturally 6" pads would be best. I feel almost no difference when using 6.5" pads and I have been using AG's Wolfgang 6.5" pads plus 6.5" pads from other resellers made by LC.

For me like fish to a water, next to nothing. Actually, Flex feels more "natural" to me than PC/UDM.

Paint burning is possible even with PC under right circumstances. Risk factor with Flex is higher than with PC/UDM but still lower than with rotary. Exercising common sense precaution I did not experience any headaches when using it on plastic bumpers.

No. Metabo has been posted for sale (please check other forums for chronological reference) long before Flex was even sold in States. I am selling Metabo as I am not in position (due to personal situation) to gain as much rotary experience as fast as I would like (in last three months I had only four or five days to work on the car and zero minutes to "play") so it would be waste to leave it gathering dust. Rotary is an undisputed king of paint correction and if person is already an expert rotary user or are not for some reason at least temporarily prevented from becoming one (like I am) then Flex is not for them. However Flex is incredible fit for everybody else. So, once I do have a chance to get back to rotary and get skillset my Flex will most likely become neglected or at least used less. In the meantime though Flex lets me do the heavy work / do the work quicker.

Hint: If you have Optimum Polish give it a try with Flex. It results in great working time for my taste, neither too quick nor too slow.
