PBL wheel coating safe wheel cleaners?
I know that they claim you will only need soap and water to wash off brake dust after coating but I am concerned w/Runnoff from whatever tire cleaner I use, wheelwells etc. I am planning on using OPC and was hoping I wouldn't have to worry too much about the wheel coating as I am cleaning around them.

Coatings will only come off with abrasion, you can use whatever you like on them.

Strong acids and alkaline products can degrade some coatings. So, something like Wheel Bright or a high pH wheel cleaner may not be good for you. I'm not sure how iron dissolving wheel cleaners will affect the coating. But, a surfactant based wheel cleaner / APC should be OK once properly diluted.

Thanks for the help Gentleman. I am using OPC at 3:1 so should be ok.

Re: PBL wheel coating safe wheel cleaners?
I recently bought a new set of wheels and since I had the Pinnacle Black Diamond Wheel Coating, I coated the wheels before they were even mounted w/ tires.
So far the coating has held up, and seems to keep the wheels fairly clean. Easy to wash. Time will tell how it holds up, but satisifed so far. Wheels clean well with just standard hose pressure and a microfiber sponge with Meguiars car shampoo.

My wheels are coated with PBL wheel coating. Ive been using Sonax FE to clean the wheels. Will that destroy the coating?
