Souveran is awful...it made my paint cloudy

It is all what it's cracked up to be, Souveran and Clearkote Carnauba Moose are two of my favorite LSP....Souveran being more reflective and CMW more darkening of the paint

    trade souvern for crystal mist?

Hello, I really like the liquid souvern. Enough that I accidently asked for some for Christmas and got way too muny for me to use! Never ask everyone for the same thing! Anyway id like to ofeer one sealed bottle in trade for a bottle of pinnacle crystle mist. Anyone interested in this trade before I see if I can send it back? Thanks! Andrew

The shine is incredible better than I had expected. I used souveran paste wax over my normal cleaning and glazing on my 99 dodge ram and erveryone though I had the truck repainted. Thanks to this I won 6 shows in 2006 and truck of the month on a website. Check out my gallery and tell me if you think it looks like a 6 year old dailly driver to you.

Souveran IMO is definitely a top flight wax. It leaves a very wet, dark finish but yet does not mute metalic flake. It's very easy on/off too and it makes the paint pretty slick for a wax. The performance of this wax comes pretty close to waxes which cost twice as much if not more. So, the price is reasonable if you think of it in that way.
You like Nattys, I like Souveran, and Justin is DP MaxWax. And you know what, its alright !!

I'm with Mikey on this one, couldn't have said it better, though I believe in many instances it comes more than close.

    Hi,
I've been using store bought waxes. Do I need a pre wax cleaner before using Pinnacle or can I go right over the existing wax?

I don't know that you necessarily need a pre "cleaner wax" but proper surface prep is a must in order to get everything out of Pinnacle or any other "high dollar" LSP. Washing, claying, polishing in its various forms, etc are all pretty much standard before using a premium wax or sealant. It goes without saying that if you're going to drop the kind of change it costs to buy a premium product that you want to see it in all its glory. If this kind of preparation isn't on the agenda I would think one would be dollars ahead to use a less expensive wax or sealant. You can still have protection and get some "shine" out of products costing much less. It also isn't unusual to put down a coat of longer lasting product prior to putting down Souveran. Souveran as beautiful as it is, isn't the longest lasting wax on the market. Many like putting a sealant down and topping with Souveran (I like UPP topped with Souveran and have had good luck with DP's sealant also). It kind of gives you the best of both worlds.
