I have a jar of Pinnacle Souveran in my garage now for about 4 years, its AZ so it gets hot as hell and cool in the garage. Is it still good? It looks fine. Just don't want to waste my time.

Liquid wax vs hard wax, is there a general shelf life?

Polymers shelf life?

Guess a general rule of thumb would be nice? I imagine the best course of action is to store that stuff in the house where it is climate controlled.

Thoughts?

I have this same wax along with many others and for me, as long as they haven't separated they should be fine. If you're doubtful, just try some out on a fender to make sure it performs ok.

Since AG is the distributor / manufacturer, could somebody from AG offer some input? Thanks

Geez. I have a jar of Souveran that's over 10 years old. Works just as good now as I did when I bought it.

Good to know, where do you store it and is it climate controlled?

I've seen a couple members that have a wax specific fridge. I keep mine in the house year around

Paste waxes are pretty bulletproof. It's the liquid products that have more of a tendency to grow stuff in them, or break down from age or biological growth.

I have Liquid Souveran going on 2+ years now. I keep them on a shelf on the unfinished side of my basement. I don't track durability since I use it more as a topper but I haven't seen anything that causes me to consider dumping it.

yeah, and now yo gotta hear the wifey say things like.
what are these bottles doing in the cabinet. why are there so many of them. they all do the same thing. how much did the one in the machined air tight case cost. WHAT!

Tell her you're taking care of your investments?

(disclaimer: I'm not the best one to take marital/relationship advice from.)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I thought you were talking about my wife.. LOL I go through a Jar too often so I really don't have any input other than keep it in a climate controlled area.

I would give it a good shaking and use it.... I've got couple bottles of souvern left from a big sale 2years ago... just used some last weekend and after a good shaking, I don't see any problems.

paste form is already solidified so if you keep it from extreme heat it should be just as good as the day you bought it for years ahead. like many on here, i have some paste wax that are over 7+ years old that are perfectly fine...

In the winter, I move my stuff inside so it doesn't freeze(new England).

Glad the OP asked this question. For you guys who use a frig, what do you do when you are ready to use the wax? Doesn't it sweat like crazy? Can you put it on the car cold? Taking it in and out of the frig doesn't make it watery?
