1954 Hudson Hornet polished with Rupes UHS

Before Pictures

I practice documenting the true and accurate condition of all the cars that go through any of our garage projects and this last Saturday, during Autogeek's Cars & Coffee with Dennis Gage I took some great pictures using full overhead bright sunlight to capture the current condition of the paint on this classic and rare 1954 Hudson Hornet Convertible.

Since Dennis was here I asked him to give me a hand... literally....

Thanks Dennis!

Here's a few more shots....

And a few more....

The swirls have built up over the last decade or so since the custom paint job was sprayed on this car. This is normal as show cars tend to get wiped a lot but rarely re-polished the correct way.

Here's the rear driver's side fender...

Same area on the car only I've zoomed in....

Driver's door....

The other side and in fact the entire car pretty much is in the same condition.

So as you can see this car needs some polishing to restore it to a show car finish worthy of the Hudson marque....
