Re: First Place for Worst Paint - 1942 Olds Extreme Makeover
And here's the guys that made the magic happen....
From left to right.....
Frank, Al Ralph, Jim, Carlos, Chris, Craig, John in back, then Den, Joe and Robert
Not pictures is Jeff who had to leave a little early....
Thanks for all your hard work guys, you really did a great job!
There are still a lot of swirls, deeper scratches and even cracks and water stains in the paint but it's so much better than the way it was before we started....
Now it's time to clean up the studio for the next project!
Comments and questions are welcome....

Mike, thanks for the opportunity to work on this car. This paint was the worst I've seen since coming to the Makeovers. The paint was super hard. I know that some sections of the hood were done with at least 5 rounds using the rotary and wool pads and there were still swirls and scratches in the paint. It definitely looks much better than when we started. I think that's the best it will look without wet sanding.

A W E S O M E!!, not only a lot of improvement, but it's the BEST way this paint can look, without a doubt.
The 'cat's meow' about switching M205 for 82 gave a lot of insight on how to proceed after some heavy cutting on 'finicky paint'. Thanks for that.
The Pizza picture as always is one of my favorites... !

Congratulations to everyone,

Amazing transformation as usual.
I'm curious as to what is the backstory on this car that it ended up in this condition?
