Re: 1938 Plymouth Sedan Streetrod Extreme Makeover!

Thanks Mike for having me as part of the team on this makeover. I had a great time with the rest of the folks who participated and got some great pointers from Antti and a couple of the other more experienced folks. I really enjoyed using the Cyclo DA buffer. Looking forward to participating in the August Makeover event.
I am glad I was able to help. We will see you next time

I think this time lesson was, how to share your knowledge with others.

Thank You Mike, Autogeek crew and car owners, who have confidence in us, to let us work on those cars.

As strange as it can sound, by teaching others we ourselves learn.

It takes time to earn the trust of the owners of special interest cars in your area and then once you've earned their trust it's important not to let them down.

So thank you Antti and everyone that attends these Thursday night project for taking them serious and always treating these cars as if they were your own...

Another great Thursday night makeover. Enjoyed very much sharing what I have learned over past few years with others.
The Cyclo was my first polisher I picked up three years ago. Still use it today.
Thanks to Mike and the rest of the Crew.

When the owner came to pick up his 1938 Plymouth Streetrod the next day we were in luck as the sun was shining direct overhead so I was able to get the Sun Shots!

    That's the way it's done...

I'd also like to think Oswaldo and Victoria for joining us for this project. They were here in the U.S.A all the way from Brazil!

Here's Frank, Victoria, Oswaldo and Tom sporting the very nice Cyclo Aprons!

Oswaldo and me after buffing out this car...

(Hope I didn't work you too hard!)

For anyone geographically inclined, here's a map to give you an idea how far they traveled.

I keep wondering myself with two 4" pads (my favorite hobby is polishing using 4" pads... imagine two at once!). Thanks for coming up with Cyclo this time.
I like to spread the love around. I've known Cody, the owner and President of Cyclo Tools for years and he really builds an exceptionally high quality tool. It's been a while since we did a car project with the Cyclo so it was time.

I've been doing these types of projects all my life now and the one thing I notice is that we always attract high caliber people. No slackers or trouble makers but people that will treat these projects as they they were their own.

It goes pretty fast when you have 8 Cyclos all buffing at the same time.

And just to note... I really appreciate you guys and all the regular crew helping others to learn the art and craft of polishing paint...

I always remind myself that we all started out in the same place and that's knowing nothing...

Having someone with experience show you the "how-to" part first hand really goes a long way towards flattening out the learning curve...

Took the opportunity to take the pads from where you buffed on the single stage paint and create an article...
