    8mm DA Polishers Class

The first machine class is always how to use the 8mm DA Polishers as these are the easiest machine polishers to learn how to use. This includes,

    • Porter Cable 7424XP
    • Griot's Garage 6" DA Polisher
    • Meguiar's MT300 DA Polisher
(All of these use the same 8mm orbit stroke length free spinning drive mechanism)

First we go over the techniques for correctly using dual action orbital polishers

Then the class is takes over while Nick and I monitor each student and monitor technique while making technique tweaks when needed.

Thank you Bob for everything you shared but the above comments are very much appreciated as they are accurate. For all my classes I do what I call a brain dump. I try to share and impart as much information as I can to help everyone reach their goals and avoid as many mistakes as possible.

This class was great and I had a lot of fun teaching it. We had some amazing cars that all look like glistening gemstones. Heck even the daily drivers we used to learn production detailing look better than new.

Looking forward to seeing you work your magic on your Viper Red 1957 Chevy!

Looks like I may have competition in the 57 Chevy arena.

Autogeek's professial detailing classes are unique in the industry

At our detailing classes you get to use all the tools you see and read about and you get tons of hands-on time behind the tool. There's very little sitting time at our classes.

Each tool gets it's own car or in the case of smaller cars I'll have 2 cars for each type of tool.

The big picture is when you attend one of our classes you learn on the real deal. You get real-world, intense hands-on training so when you go back out into the world you know what you're doing and most important.... you have confidence in the tools and in yourself.

Mike, on page 3 of this thread..after the clay mitt pics, and after the drying pics, and after the polishing pics, there's a set using a small applicator. What's going on there?

    ***Trivia***

RUPES purchased the Cyclo Tool company back in January of 2015. Here's the link to the story if you want to read about it.

    Rupes aquires Cyclo Toolmakers

As such, we hold two unique and separate detailing classes, one for the Cyclo Polisher and one for the RUPES polishers.

Here's the Cyclo Class documented with before, during and after pictures.

    RUPES Cyclo Detailing Class

This is a 1950 Ford Custom Convertible. The paint had hologram swirl scratches from a rotary buffer the the last time it was buffed out.

My class did a multiple-step show car paint polishing process to remove the swirls and restore a swirl-free flawless finish.
