The national weather service in state college has issued a winter storm watch... Which is in effect from friday evening through sunday morning.

* snow accumulations... 6 inches or more possible.

* timing... Snow begins friday evening. The period of most intense snow will be friday night into saturday evening. Snow ends late saturday night.

* impacts... Dangerous travel conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A winter storm watch means there is a potential for significant snow accumulations that may impact travel.

just do like usual in a snow storm, drive slower, brake ahead, make sure your winter tires are in great shape, use rain-X yellow -45 windshield washer. 6 inches of snow really is nothing, it is a really small snowfall !

Ha , DC got hit yesterday but it missed us. On the news they said there were too many accidents to report. Drivers around DC are terrible and traffic almost comes to stop when it rains around here.

12-18" that's my kinda forecast, but in reality we'll probably just end up with a coating, just like the huge snow storm we were absolutely going to get, forecasted something around 1-2' and didn't even see one snow flake, I'll take as much snow as I can get I love every bit of it but the weather forecaster's are terrible, they keep drumming up the hype so you tune in and watch the forecast, get's there ratings up and sponsors pay extra, I'll prepare for a good bit of snow but in reality I doubt we'll get much
