My dad actually had one but it wasn't the original engine to the car (which had 396 badges).

Re: Roll Call! Who drives a MANUAL transmission?
My grandpa taught me on a 60's Ford truck with "three on the tree" lol. Aside from driving some work trucks in the late 80's, my first manual purchase was a 90 Ford Ranger. I'm pretty sure it was a T5 transmission. I think those were my favorite to drive daily. Then I bought a 92 Mustang GT w/5spd. After I got married, I quite buying manual cars for my wife's sake. She was butthurt when I finally decided I needed to have a weekend car and it needed to be a manual. I bought a 2004 Mustang Mach 1 w/ 5spd. I still have that since 2012. I remember test driving a 2012 Boss 302 and then a 2015 Mustang GT with a 6spd, but I really didn't care for the feel of the clutch pedal when they are hydraulic clutches. The 2004 Mustangs were the last years for cable driven clutches. I'm sure I'd get used to it, but I just don't like the super feather-light feel of them. Regardless, if I ever decide to buy a newer weekend car, I'll definitely get one with a manual transmission.

Re: Roll Call! Who drives a MANUAL transmission?
Between manual and automatics, I would say I prefer an automatic.
Having said that, my daily driver Ranger is a 6 speed manual, only because automatic is not available in the single cab workhorse model.
And because I wanted a different experience, I ordered my Mustang with a manual. Nailing the perfect heal/toe down shift is pure joy. And because the Mustang naturally aspirated, a health blip of the throttle sends a delicious amount induction note into the cabin.
Both of my Falcon's have a ZF 6 speed auto, the Jaguar an ZF 8 speed.

I ended up getting both my hips replaced, so should you ever go this route, new hips brings the fun back to driving a stick.

Re: Roll Call! Who drives a MANUAL transmission?
I have both but love pure third pedal manuals
My current project
07 9-3 V6 Turbo Aero. It’s a sedan, been lusting after a wagon, but they are unicorns.
6 speed trans, gearing perfect for V6 torque. I have same car but with turbo 4, gearing not mated as well on that one.
Other manuals in my fleet
04 9-3 Aero 6spd
99 Fake Aero 9-5 sedan
96 9000 Aero, 5 psd
88 900 SPG
