Had a scare myself this morning, Ziva walked right over a snake. It was on the path but I didn't see it because it was on the dividing line between the shade and sun. None of us saw it till it slithered away. I think it was a Marsh Snake, they are mildly venomous, but I'm pretty certain it didn't bite her, she didn't yelp, and wasn't licking anywhere afterwards like she does with a green ant bite. But I have been watching her ever since.

Holy Crap, Dave! I can't imagine that kind of worry. No venomous snakes here on Long Island.
And the Vet care was actually as cheap as could be. My wife has worked for our local Vet for 22 years. All of the work was done "pro bono".
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

She knew if she had passed your wussy ass couldn’t handle it so she “manned” up for you.
All jokes aside I’m glad she’s OK and doing well.

A bit warm here today. Buster made it known he wanted to come into the AC. Ziva happily stayed outside, she doesn't feel the heat the same way Buster does.

Not really my pet, but it does live in the tree in front of my house. I believe it is a Garden Orb Weaver, you have to watch out for these guys if you go for a walk as it's getting dark, they like to build these webs across open spaces. I've walked through these webs a couple of times and ended up with them on me, they don't bite, usually.

Re: Show us your pet.
Naughty girl, but, my fault really, I didn't put it back in my storage tub after letting it dry. It's pretty old anyway. I last used it on the single stage paint on the roof of the FJ. Luckily she wasn't eating it, just pulling it apart, I think she was trying to find out how many pieces of foam there are in a polishing pad.
