    Facebook

So I find myself more and more going to Facebook for advice bc it is both easier to use and has quicker responses. I always go to the forum for lengthier questions and reviews but I feel that slowly groups on Facebook will over take the forum. I just want to know everyone's thoughts on this and any experiences they had?

    Re: Facebook

The Focus ST club I am in thought about a regular website with forum. Decided against it as Facebook is so much easier. The only good thing a forum does is allow for better searching of past subjects. It seems in just a few days " old" topics are buried and gone.

    Re: Facebook

I like the forum better. It can be just as instant if people are actually on that thread. FB seems to have too much drama

    Re: Facebook

I deactivated my Facebook a while ago and haven't looked back. I'm one of the few 24 year olds not on it. I'll keep avoiding it as long as I possibly can.

I like forums because you get more specialized people and you can easily view others' submission histories, work, and it's a little easier to navigate for what you want. Facebook has too much personal info on it. It would be more appropriate for real-time conversations or quick event planning.

It's the answer to the question of:
'Which of these social media examples
    has the "better" Cyber Security?'
    ...

That has been the driver behind my choice of:
"Who, what, where, when, and how...to follow".

    Re: Facebook

I love the detailing groups on FB. I'm a member of several, & the OP makes a good point. I can post a question there & have multiple answers in a matter of a few minutes. I like the forums better to search for info when I have more time.
