Got a compliment and wasn't even there

My husband took his employees out to lunch the other day and drove a couple of them in our truck.

The one commented on how nice my husband kept the truck...
LOL- he immediately corrected the guy and told him it was indeed his wife that keeps the fleet of vehicles at home looking pristine and clean.

The guy said that's even better

Yes, that's a very nice compliment. Although I have to remind myself that compliments are not required, especially when they are not given (in-laws), it certainly is very nice to recieve them.

I was once complimented on how clean and shiny my car was one day. They were shocked when I replied that it was filthy, until they got right up on it and saw the thick layer of dust covering the car (I had driven in the rain for a few days and there was dirt everywhere). Just goes to show you that peoples' definitions of "clean" vary widely.

Lol, same here, I got a few raised eyebrows as I pulled into my shop to ONR my DD. A few of my guys asked what the heck I was doing, I said the filth is driving me mad! lols

When I first got the Coupe my boss was looking at it outside and complimented all the flake in the paint.
I told him I still needed to do a paint correction on it and it will look that much better...

He took a step back and told me there was something wrong with me

Welcome to black car ownership Monica, although your R53 was a dark green, surely you experienced the same thing w/ it as well.

No matter what color/car/etc unless it's 5 min after a wash, it will always be 'filthy"
