Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?
I swim daily with my two boys. Any form of water will do Pool, Lake, River, Ocean.
When I was young my father and I would swim out into the ocean for a few hours non-stop until you couldn't see land. He said it'd make a man of me, those were the days.
...His father (my grand father) tried to set a world record for the fastest backstroke across the English channel but failed to beat the record time.
The only thing I'm more passionate about than detailing is swimming. Heck, I even jumped into the mighty Saint Lawrence River just to boast I swam across (not the best idea mind you but I made it across safely).
I love diving off cliffs, quarries, diving boards...
I'm also into mountain biking and kayaking (the two one day after another make for one heck of a work out).

your Father is a wise man, much respect. swimming is under-rated in sports and definitely something you don't learn over night, that's for sure (most can't even swim a lap or two at most without being tired/winded). my weakest part of my swimming is my kick (do the kick board and some drills to help strengthen that), but i've utilized my pull/catch more effectively which helps me streamline through the water without much resistant much like sun yang (current world record holder) below. dang, he's so fluid and makes it look so easy...

30-40 minutes on Precor Adaptive Motion Trainer, 45 minutes on various (12-14) Hammer Strength/Life Fitness weight machines. Twice a week during Golf season and three times a week remainder of the year. I hate it, but it has to be done if you want to enjoy your "golden years."

30 minutes of the bike followed by 30 minutes elliptical yesterday. Walked to a coffee shop this AM...

We took our daughter out in her stroller, walked 1.75 miles but when combined with the walking at Cars and Coffee yesterday it was a little over 3 miles 😄

What an experience, the parent in me is a bit scared of this, but the swimmer thinks hell yeah How old were you?

I ran a mile on the treadmill this morning.
It's not something I enjoy, but the benefits of doing so cannot be ignored.
