Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?
i wanted to add that a lot of people underestimate what is required of a high level detailer. it's a freakin' drag and a lot of people can't take the heat. they break down. they start cheating, doing volume work...hiring all kinds of help, etc.
some of the guys with the best reputations out there are also really in shape or are just strong dudes to begin with. i mean the guys who do most if not all the work by themselves and don't touch anything remotely close to volume work.
i'm not faulting anyone for doing "hybrid" details or bringing help in to their shop, but i'm just saying - typically, the guys who do top of the line corrective work with no short cuts, day in and day out...they are pretty stout dudes.

Gym, 6 days a week for the past 10 years. 2 hrs minimum and even after 10 years it still freaking hurts for the next few days after but the wife sure appreciates the efforts haha

Cool to see all this. I'm a Director of Training at my gym so active people are good people lol.
Workout 5-6 days a week, Sunday's are my "active rest days" where I detail 1-3 cars (mine, g/f, pops). Or play football or soccer.

Last form of exercise??? Today I dug a 75 foot trench from my house to the garage. Now I have gas and enough electric to run my 220 compressor and my welder. Not to mention heat will be coming soon.
Honestly I'm not one to pay a membership to workout. I stay plenty active with home repair and car restoration out side of my normal work day. Do some heavy landscaping or wrestle a big block mopar into your car project is workout enough for me.

I think its more the mental fortitude, me and a friend did some side detailing over the summer and here in Phoenix it was hell. But we both knew we weren't going to be done with a car until it was proper and we kept on pushing through. Although the ice chest full of water and gatorade helped alot.

I have to agree.
Before I even thought about detailing a buddy of mine was doing moble work and dude was in EXCELLENT condition.
I call this stage in my life (40's) the Hollywood phase, nice tone, little bulk, no heavy weights.
Unlike my 20's when I wanted to be Hulk Hogan LMAO
