Congratulations on your choice Vargas. Recently I saw Evan (from this forum) follow this route, and I must say he started making amazing things just after (he was already good, for sure), but like you've said, there's always a lot to learn.

Wish you the best from your training, please, keep us updated.

    Kind Regards.

Let's see what else i need
its extremely expensive and that money could be much better spent on tools, advertising, stocking up on products, renovating your shop,

    buying a company vehicle,

or even multiple other detailing training courses that cost hundreds instead of thousands. I have his book, and there are some decent points in there if you are just starting out, but I have always viewed Renny as a good salesman more than somebody who can teach you things that nobody else could. detailing isn't rocket science. with a little bit of experience, you can do this type of work on average vehicles and get great results 99% of the time. and you shouldn't have to pay for 2 years worth of car payments to get that experience. you can't perfect anything in 1 week's time. it takes repetition. if his course was $1,000, then maybe consider it a vacation and seminar in one. great. but for the price, I just cant see it unless he can guarantee you will double your business or something like that. you live just about as far away from his course as you possibly could, on opposite coasts, so to think that he is going to be "sending" or "referring" you work, is very unlikely. your customers most likely wont know or care who Renny Doyle is, or that you paid him a huge fee for a training course. they just want their car cleaned and protected. does a plaque on the wall stating that you paid a ton for a 1 week training course in California, by a guy that used to clean for the President, make your customers want to pay you more? its very doubtful. but, seriously, I hope it works out for you. take lots of pictures and let us know how it goes. (lets be honest, just getting to spend a week out there certainly holds some value, the area is amazing.)
I am a Network Engineer by trade and schooling and also do Network Security. i have been doing it for the past 15 years and guess what i still go to school every semester to further my education. Training is not something i ever stop doing. could i have chosen another course, probably, did i want to no. this is the route i chose, it might not be yours, but this one is mine. Spending the time in big bear is nice and that is where my wife is from so we will take the kids with us and enjoy the time out there with the family as well.

so as far as your suggestions go, as you can see i have all the best tools and products on the market and company vehicle, i dont think i need a newer one, unless you can convince my wife to trade in my brand new 2014 Silverado on a 2015 version of it. there is only some much you can learn for a youtube video, i chose to learn from the best in the field
