The wagon has been dead in the USA for 20+ years, it's called a mini van these days.

So what, it's still a station wagon. And it is dead. How many CTS wagons did Cadillac sell last year? The fact that I didn't even know it existed is proof enough to me.

The only time I will ever be in one is when my coffin is taken to the crematorium LOL!

And DK's RS is a beast and would spank any of those on a closed mountain road, just watch the video.

Hey they are not all dead yet. I would love to have an RS6 Avant but have to make due with my 22+ yo Buick. While it isn't quick it will get out of its own way, when I had it at the track a few years ago it ran a 15.24.

    Thumbs up Re: DK News

Oh no, what did I start here!

So we're stating what's a cool ride based off of the take rate, really??? Or maybe what's popular, well I can tell you this, I'm not driving, looking at or could care less about ANY Prius or self driving car. I certainly don't have $65K to buy this but if I did it would be on my short list. I'm a niche buyer, I don't follow the herd, closest I came to that was getting my 2007 MINI, yeah, that worked out well.

BIG BUCKS here and not available in the US, sadly!

Not quite as expensive but another FINE EXMAPLE!

    Yet another example...

    Yes please!!

I just assume people posting here are car guys but I guess that's what you get for assuming! Sorry but there's other things out there in the world, a wagon can and IS awesome when done right, I haven't even scratched the surface here but then again I don't wanna derail the thread too much but I think the hammer I used to get my point across has worked.

All above rides would be chosen over many "popular" cars by yours truely!

I had a Ford LTD II wagon also. It was a 1977. Bought it used at the height of the gas crisis for $2250.00 and it had 13K miles on it.
Gold colored. Dropped a bored 4V Cleveland into it. With a 2 plate nitrous system. The computed horsepower (based on the speed in the 1/4) was 650 at the wheels.
It surprised a LOT of other cars. Plus it would carry nearly anything I ever needed to stuff in it. Kept it until I got my Thunderbird SuperCoupe in 1989.
So what if it never got better than 9mpg.

HAHA! I love the debate here!
Just shows how variety makes this world awesome! How boring would it be if we all liked and drove the same car???????

Funny segway: got the salt off the RS over the weekend. I'm drying it and cursing the "extra" door jams I had to wipe down
So maybe it DOES have something I didn't want... the extra doors!

Klasse, If I had $65,000 grand to blow on a car it would be a 2017 Camaro ZL-1, bring that over priced Volvo station wagon out to the track and we'll see LOL.

You know I'm just kidding with you, kind of. Man I really like the new ZL-1. But I can dream.

650HP 650 ft lbs torque 0-60 3.5 seconds 1/4 mile 11.4 seconds and then there's the Nurburgring run.

$65,205.00 give or take. What a beast!

Sorry guys, not a fan of bloated muscle cars...I'm a Stang guy. I know the new Camaros are capable (SS, 1LE, Z/28 and ZL1) but those cars aren't my cup of tea. I'm being more practical with this but then again I'm the guy at the party who doesn't drink or smoke and listens to music usually older than I am, LOL.

I'd like to see what EVOLVE can do with the Polestar!
