    Re: Started My Garage Rehab!

    Killing it there Kev!

Might want to put a rail down the sides, then take a light fixture (or two) and hang it/them vertically (just by using one end). Allows you to remove them when you don't want to use them, as well as put them exactly where you need them.

You'll surely want that fridge, maybe 2. Craigslist or the newspaper is a great place to find decent used ones that'll be great for garage duty. I like having one out there for supplies.... keeps them from freezing in the winter and cooking in the summer.

Can't wait to see what paint scheme you come up with!

    Looks GREAT...

Are you adding a heat source, it would be sweet to have some nice warm air blowing down for those bitter winters up there.

FYI, a quick space saver is those heavy duty hooks that you screw into the beams. Everything is on my hook in my garage, there the BEST....

No installed heater. Looked into that, and the cost would be prohibitive...meaning, my wife would prohibit it!

I will probably install some wall fans like these for those hot Chicago summers, and in the winter time, I might later consider one of these.

Tomorrow: mud and sand + additional paint. Accent walls are done.

Lighting goes in tomorrow or Thursday.

    Cabinets come Thursday.

Hopefully pretty much ready by the end of the weekend!

Now now Kevin.... what she don't know won't hurt her. Heheheeeeee.....
Maybe a local HVAC company has a deal on a central heating and air unit or heat pump that they pulled out of a home? That's it! Heat pump, solar panels, get a government rebate for energy conversation.... yeah.... that's the ticket.

    Cool!

My dream garage would be with a drain, ac and heat and vaccum ventilation.
