Wouldn't this defeat the purpose?
I seen someone on another forum ask how much he should sell a 12oz bottle of Megs wax to a customer who ends up getting a detail.
By selling them any cleaners or waxes wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the customer returning for more details? Or is there a benefit to that?

Unless he plans on becoming a retailer I see no benefit. If he has to ask a forum panel what to charge for such a simple product I doubt he will have much luck at retailing

He had said he wanted it to be as a courtesy.
I myself wouldn't do it cause that would give the customers a reason not to come around since they can wax it themselves.
But maybe I can lure in a customer by giving free gifts with a detail?
What would yall recommend as a gift?
A dashboard duster? A gift card? I need to lure more customers in.

Some one mentioned they bought some empty 1oz spray bottles and filled it up with air freshners that he poured himself out of a larger bottle he bought from chemical guys. That or you can give them a free mf towel to do interior wipe downs or some interior cleaner in a spray bottle or QD.

I usually hang a air freshener tree with a bussiness card stapled to it on the rear view mirror or center console

Well, Larry Kosilla of AMMO NYC sells his own brand of products, and charges a premium for them to boot. I don't know how many of his detailing customers buy them, but I am certain it hasn't hurt his business.
If I was running a detailing business and selling product, I wouldn't not be selling Megs, because obviously a customer can buy Megs anywhere and everywhere. I would at least do something similar to AMMO, with a private label brand.
