    I think it might be lights hitting the actual cover not the cover transmitting light. But who knows

    However, I don't see why it can't be possible to wake up and get ready for work and tell yourself. "I feel like driving a Jet Black car today. I am kind of tired of the red now"

    And just press a button and your car changes colors. Would be a nice idea but who knows about deep scratches. Say if the lights or reflectors get cracked or broken. That or if the car was in a collision.

    Maybe you won't necessarily be matching paint but more of changing the light reflectors...

    I always say if we can land a man on the moon then a lot of things can be possible. We just need NASA to start working on it
