Re: Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?
Just ordered a set of Yokahama S-drives for the Abarth. I went up to the 215-40's which are .3" taller and 10mm wider. I know they get good reviews and are not as expensive as the Michelin AS3's I wanted but didn't make them in the size I wanted. At the end of the of the day it was only $100 difference but I wanted/needed the upgrade in size any who😎

I had the alignment checked at about 10,000 miles and it was within spec. The reason I did that is cuz the stupid Pirelli tires they come on the car horrible and there were wearing prematurely on the inner shoulder. I do plan on having another alignment done cuz I don't want to put a brand new set of tires on the car and have them be out of spec I'd rather be safe than sorry!

If he's got an Abarth and/or drives "spiritedly" then that's not bad at all.
I'm guilty of driving my Si like I stole it, and I eat through a set of tires every 20k or so. I'm expecting to get a little less out of the more performance-oriented (compared to stock) Michelin Pilot Sports that I have on there now.
My wife's Accord has 34,000 miles on it and the factory Goodyears are still going strong. We'll easily squeeze another 4-5 thousand miles before they need replacing.
There's a lot of variables at play.

And if the Fiats are anything like Mini Coopers and BMWs, the camber is very aggressive for handling reasons, and decent tire life is non-existent for this reason alone.
