Yeah everything is going great. My lady is going home today, and I signed up for Meguiar's Thursday night open garage.
Or TNOG as I learned they call it
I think Christopher Brown is going, and I'll see what other AutoGeeks attend also.
I spent 72 hours here at the hospital, or 72 hours of AGO

Good to hear your still learning things. Sounds like you'll have a good time at Maguiar's.
Have fun..

Thank You,
TNOG this month and next month I will be attending the 3D classes. I plan on taking all the classes. I believe it's four classes. I am sure I will learn something new there. Detailing is something that I just love doing and learning.

I asked Meguiar's. "what are the benefits of using a $3,000 wax?"
I was told, that you walk around and tell people the wax on your car is worth $3,000 lol
Not much else than any other wax.
Also:
I called PPG and asked what happens if you put wax on a repaint before 90 days?
They just said "we don't recommend you do"
That alone should be enough of why not to do it. I'll let my family know.

It depends on the paint. Many parts of the country are still using higher VOC paints and they need to out gas to be on the safe side. If thats the case waiting is a good idea.
Here in CA those days are long gone in a shop enviroment now it's all water based and once the finish is baked it's cured. In fact most repair shops will wax/glaze the vehicle before the customer picks it up.
I just had a Lexus SUV bumper painted and replaced for my wife. I post a sign in the car "Do not wash or maching polish this car. And do not wax, glaze or seal the painted bumper.
I'm old school I'd rather wait 30+ days before sealing it. The service writter said it was the cleanest car they ever repaired. They still managed to leave grease shoe marks on the door sil but the paint was perfect.

Yeah I always waxed/glazed the parts that were repainted. Per managers requests.
Well the PPG Tech guy said, they don't recommend it.
I never saw anything bad happen because of it. So who knows.
But in the end, one should always follow manufacturers direction.
^ got this sheet from the Meguiar's 101 class.
It's at the very top lol (so first tip)
