Stopping rust?
I'll let the picture do the talking. I'm always sanding off the rust and re-painting it, but that's not a long-term solution.
Ideas?
The support strut for the trunk hits/rubs against the car whenever the trunk is closed. It rubs off the paint and then I get rust.
So far I've tried weather stripping tape from home depot. It works for the short term but is rubbed through in 1-2 weeks

The support arm needs adjusting. Is the other side the same? You need to grind the rust out down to bare metal use a rust inhibitor, prime and paint.

How do I go about adjusting that? I can get a picture up in a sec. Both sides are the same, done since since I got the car
