Mustard???
For some time now (ever since I started really detailing my cars) I've been noticing some mustard colored drops of stuff on my car. It makes no difference where I'm parked, under trees, out in the sun, at home, at work, at the store. I come out to the car and find this stuff.
Anyone know what it is? Besides annoying, that is.
Thanks.

Re: Mustard???
pic? Is that your car in your profile pic? If it's not and it's a white or light colored vehicle, it could be small specs of rust caused from embedded brake dust, and stuff picked up on the road.
Could be pollen or sap. Could be from a tree and you only noticed it later at work, for example. Man, it could be anything. Really need a pic.
Could be that somebody is playing an elaborate trick on you, because they know you are a detailer and want to drive you insane.

Re: Mustard???
I get the same stuff on my car. I believe it's just random pollen falling from the sky... or maybe it's part of the "chem trails" conspiracy, lol.
In my experience, though, it's pollen, and as long as your paint is super clean and has a good sealant applied, those spots shouldn't stick too well. They usually wipe right off.

It's definitely chem trails. We are all dead.

You may need to take a pic of it for us to see!

Does it look like this:
?
That was deemed to be tree sap, though this car has never been parked anywhere NEAR a tree... It was all over the car though. So who knows?!?
I see swirls everywhere!!!

Re: Mustard???
We could just consider it environmental fallout, lol. It sure does fall from the sky, so there ya go.

Re: Mustard???
Yeah sure does fall out of the sky. I'm like in the middle of an open parking lot. They can stick pretty hard too.

Re: Mustard???
It's either:
1.) Mustard algae (from windblown: dirt, bacteria, and other contaminants)
2.) Bee defecation (your vehicle's in their flight-path)
3.) Tree pollen/sap (again: windblown)
