    The Detailers Smartphone?

Caterpillar is about to release a smartphone that looks like a good choice for mobile detailers. Android guys will be happy. As of this posting no word on carrier and pricing for the US.

    Re: The Detailers Smartphone?

I have the G'zone Commando. It definitely has lasted thru hard drops to the garage floor, been to the bottom of a hot tub,and left out in the rain before. Its only 3G though so it has a rather slow processor but the phone has lasted thru my daily detailing just fine.I definitely want a 4G phone hopefully the Cat is or the G'zone comes out with a 4g model soon.

Galaxy s3 with life proof case ftw. (Wifes phone) survived many-a-drop in the toilet from my son... (kids and putting everything but actual potty in the toilet...)
I use the samsung note2 for everything but no life proof case due to stylist should have got what my wife has...

I need to see more destructive resting than that before I give up my GalaxyS Captivate. I have dropped my Captivate onto very rough asphalt with water present and picked it up and was still working and had no water damage. This happened without a case or screen protector. Gorilla Glass is amazing stuff. If my phone dies I will probably look into the Caterpillar phone if At&t carries it.
